Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Welcome to HAUSINE. By creating an account or using HAUSINE, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1Using HAUSINE

HAUSINE is a digital household ecosystem that helps users discover, organize, manage and connect with household-related services, products, professionals, businesses and tools.

You agree to use HAUSINE responsibly, honestly and in accordance with applicable laws.

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

2Your Account

You are responsible for your account and activity performed through it.

Do not share your login information, impersonate another person, create fraudulent accounts or use HAUSINE to deceive, harm or exploit others.

HAUSINE may suspend or restrict accounts involved in fraud, abuse, illegal activity, security risks or serious violations of these Terms.

3Professionals, Providers & Businesses

HAUSINE may connect you with independent professionals, service providers, businesses and sellers.

Unless HAUSINE specifically states otherwise, these parties are independent from HAUSINE.

HAUSINE does not automatically guarantee their:

  • Qualifications
  • Licences
  • Insurance
  • Pricing
  • Availability
  • Products
  • Services
  • Workmanship
  • Results or representations

Please use your own judgment and conduct appropriate due diligence before engaging a third party.

4Marketplace, Stores & Transactions

HAUSINE lets you discover, buy and sell products and services through Marketplace and Stores.

Third-party sellers, stores and providers are responsible for their listings, products, services, pricing, stock, fulfilment, delivery, refunds and applicable legal obligations.

HAUSINE Partner stores have an agreement with HAUSINE. Discovered stores and discovered businesses are found through public research and are shown for convenience only — they are not partners, are not vetted and have no relationship with HAUSINE.

Product prices, unit prices, comparisons and availability shown in Stores are indicative and may differ from the price charged at the store or at delivery.

In peer-to-peer Marketplace deals you are dealing with another user. Meet safely, inspect items before paying, and use in-app protected payments where available.

Where a transaction is between you and a third party, HAUSINE is not automatically a party to that transaction.

5Family Points & Rewards

HAUSINE Rewards awards Family Points to a household for genuine activity: everyday household actions earn one point, and completed bookings and orders paid on HAUSINE earn ten.

Points belong to the household, not to an individual member, and are awarded automatically by HAUSINE. They cannot be bought, transferred, sold, assigned or added manually.

Everyday earning is capped per household per day. HAUSINE may adjust earning rates, caps, tiers and redemption values as the programme develops.

Points and credits have no cash value, are not property, are not redeemable for money and may expire after prolonged inactivity.

Redeemed credit applies to eligible HAUSINE bookings and orders only, and is not refundable as cash.

HAUSINE may correct, withhold, void or reverse balances affected by errors, fraud, self-dealing, automated activity, duplicate accounts or abuse of the programme.

6Households & Shared Access

HAUSINE is built around households. When you create or join a household, other members of that household can see and act on the information stored in its shared modules — home, people, pets, things, vehicles, money, reminders, bookings and orders — according to their role.

Owners and admins can invite people, change roles, remove members and transfer ownership. Guests have view-only access to the areas shared with them.

Only invite people you trust with your household information. Adding a member is a deliberate act of sharing, and HAUSINE cannot un-see information a member has already viewed.

If you record information about another person — a family member, a child, a caregiver, a contact — you confirm you are entitled to do so and, where required, that they are aware of it. You are the controller of that information within your household.

Leaving a household does not delete the household's records. Removing a member does not retroactively withdraw what they have already seen or exported.

7My Vault & Access Codes

My Vault lets you store sensitive documents, receipts and health records inside safes protected by a code you choose.

Safe codes are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash. HAUSINE staff cannot see, retrieve or reset your code for you.

If you lose your safe code and your recovery code, the contents of that safe cannot be recovered by anyone, including HAUSINE. Store your recovery code somewhere safe and separate.

You are responsible for what you place in a safe and for who you add as a safe member. Do not upload material you are not lawfully entitled to hold.

Vault is a storage and organisation tool. It is not a legal archive, a medical record system, a substitute for original documents, or a guarantee against loss, and you should keep your own copies of anything critical.

HAUSINE applies encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, code hashing and rate limiting to brute-force attempts. No system is perfectly secure, and you accept that residual risk when you use Vault.

8Havi, AI & Estimates

HAUSINE includes Havi, an AI assistant that answers questions, plans journeys, researches local businesses, drafts listings and shopping lists, and shows estimated prices such as fuel, groceries and service costs.

Everything Havi produces is an estimate or a suggestion generated from public and third-party data. It is not a quote, an offer, a guarantee of availability, a price you are entitled to, or professional advice of any kind.

Prices, opening hours, store stock, transit times and business details change constantly. Always confirm with the business, retailer, agency or professional before you rely on anything Havi tells you.

Havi must never be used in place of medical, legal, financial, tax, veterinary, structural, electrical or emergency advice.

Businesses Havi discovers online are not vetted, endorsed, verified or affiliated with HAUSINE unless they are shown as a HAUSINE Partner or a verified HAUSINE Pro.

You are responsible for reviewing AI output and making your own decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HAUSINE is not liable for losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

9HAUSINE Pay, Escrow & Refunds

Payments made on HAUSINE for bookings and orders are processed through HAUSINE Pay and may be held in escrow until the work or order is completed.

HAUSINE charges disclosed platform and processing fees, and withdrawal fees on professional payouts. Applicable taxes are calculated by region and shown before you pay.

Refund requests are handled through the in-app refund and dispute flow. Where a transaction is between you and an independent professional or seller, HAUSINE's role is limited to facilitating payment and applying the published dispute process.

HAUSINE is not a bank, a money transmitter of your general funds, an insurer or a credit provider.

HAUSINE may hold, reverse, delay or cancel a payment or payout where fraud, chargeback risk, abuse or a legal obligation reasonably requires it.

10HAUSINE Pro & Verification

Professionals may register on HAUSINE, publish a profile and receive bookings. Registration is free; fees apply to payouts and optional verification.

Verification confirms the documents and details a professional submitted at a point in time. It is not an ongoing guarantee of licensing, insurance, competence, safety or conduct.

Professionals are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, tax, employment obligations, safety practices and the work they perform.

HAUSINE may pause, unpublish, suspend or remove a professional where there is a credible concern about safety, fraud, misrepresentation or repeated complaints.

11Transit, Location & Emergency

Transit provides directions, journey planning and location features using third-party mapping and transit data.

Routes, transit schedules, arrival times and road conditions may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Always follow road signs, traffic law, official transit information and your own judgment.

Never interact with HAUSINE while driving.

Location sharing between household members is optional and only operates while you have enabled it on a device with location access. It is not a tracking, safety-monitoring or child-supervision service, and it can fail without notice.

Emergency features simply help you dial publicly available emergency numbers. HAUSINE does not contact emergency services on your behalf, does not monitor for emergencies and cannot guarantee that a call will connect. In an emergency, call your local emergency number directly.

12Your Content

You may be able to upload information, photos, reviews, listings and other content.

You remain responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to share it.

By submitting content, you give HAUSINE permission to use it as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve and provide the Platform.

HAUSINE may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law or the safety of the Platform.

13Reviews & Ratings

Reviews and ratings must reflect genuine experiences.

Fake, misleading, manipulated, abusive or fraudulent reviews are not permitted.

HAUSINE may remove content that violates these rules.

14Prohibited Activities

You must not use HAUSINE to:

  • Commit fraud or illegal activities
  • Impersonate others
  • Harass or threaten users
  • Upload malicious software
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Manipulate points, rewards or reviews
  • Misrepresent products, services or qualifications
  • Scrape or misuse Platform data
  • Interfere with the security or operation of HAUSINE

15Platform Availability

We work to keep HAUSINE reliable, but we cannot guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Features may be changed, suspended or discontinued as HAUSINE evolves.

16Security & Your Responsibilities

HAUSINE protects household data with encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls that scope every record to your household, hashed vault codes, signed short-lived links for private files, and rate limiting.

Security is shared. You must use a strong, unique password, keep your devices locked, sign out on shared devices, remove members who should no longer have access, and tell us promptly at hello@hausine.com if you believe an account or safe has been compromised.

Do not attempt to probe, scan, penetration-test, reverse engineer or circumvent HAUSINE's security, access another household's data, or automate access to the Platform without written permission.

17Limitation of Responsibility

HAUSINE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HAUSINE disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HAUSINE is not responsible for losses arising from third-party products, services, transactions, content or conduct; from AI-generated estimates or discovered business information; from missed reminders, notifications or journey information; from location features; from loss of access to a vault whose code you no longer hold; or from your misuse of the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HAUSINE is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data.

Where liability cannot be excluded, HAUSINE's total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to HAUSINE in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any right or protection that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

18Your Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HAUSINE, its affiliates, officers and staff against claims, damages, losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the Platform, information you record about other people, your dealings with professionals, sellers, stores or other users, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

19Disputes Between Users

Disputes about work, goods, delivery, quality or payment are, in the first instance, between the people involved.

HAUSINE offers an in-app dispute process for transactions paid through HAUSINE Pay, and may decide the release or refund of escrowed funds using the evidence submitted. That decision is administrative, not legal arbitration, and does not affect either party's legal rights.

Before starting formal proceedings against HAUSINE, please contact us at hello@hausine.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

20Privacy

Your use of HAUSINE is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who can see it, and the rights you have over it.

HAUSINE does not sell personal information, and does not use the contents of your Vault for advertising or AI model training.

21Account Termination & Deletion

You may stop using HAUSINE at any time, and you can request deletion of your account from your profile.

Deletion runs on a grace period, during which you can cancel it. After the grace period your personal account data is removed, subject to records we must keep for tax, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal reasons.

If you are the sole owner of a household, you will be asked to transfer ownership or remove the household before deletion completes, so shared records are not lost unexpectedly for other members.

HAUSINE may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, security concerns, illegal activity or serious violations of these Terms.

22Changes to These Terms

HAUSINE may update these Terms as the Platform develops.

Where required, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.

Your continued use of HAUSINE after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

23Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by applicable Canadian law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which HAUSINE operates. If you use HAUSINE in the United States, applicable federal and state consumer protection laws also apply, and nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
